Overview
An enthusiastic priest with a zest for life that is known for his backflipping tendencies. Since coming to Eorzea from Othard, he has become an avid baker and Astrologian. Perhaps these passions will forge a new path for him that is separate from priesthood.Overall, he's just a chill dude with lavender hair that enjoys being around people and learning new things. He was also described as a cinnamon bun once, much to his chagrin.
Life in Othard
Kryoda was born to the Zoha tribe of Veena on the Skatay Range along with seven sisters and a mother that trained them in cooking. Upon the onset of puberty, he was enrolled in Wood Warder training along with the other males of his tribe. He ended up being a prodigy at the training, and completed the requirements that took many of his companions more several years in only two.Kryoda was a warder who relentlessly followed his duty, but it was a duty he eventually found isolating and grew tired of. After over half a decade of being a Warder and only returning to the rest of the tribe once, he decided to leave the lonely role of a Wood Warder and to let the stars guide him forward. So he decided to leave the Range. When leaving the range, he wrote a note containing a tall tale of how he was busy slaying a giant beast, making sure that no one would notice the fact that he left in hopes of potentially returning one day.Many days were spent simply following the stars, but he was soon found, and eventually taken in, by members of monastery dedicated to the Kami that was leaving Doma for the Ruby Sea. Upon being "adopted" and gaining a new home along the Ruby Sea, he began his training to become one of the priests of Susano. In addition to spiritual duties at shrines and basic the study of geomancy, Kryoda was tasked with cooking duty and eventually confessional. Over time, the other members of monastery became something of a family to him and helped serve as an inspiration to him.Kryoda's time at the monastary with a found family changed him for the better. He went from a cold young man to a warm soul and learned what it truly means to revel.
Life in Eorzea
After several years of being a passionate member of the monastery, Kryoda's newfound family suggested he go on that go on a pilgrimage to Eorzea to experience what the world truly had to offer outside of a secluded monastery. He was hesitant, not wanting to abandon those he considered family, but did eventually agree.Serendipitously, foreign vistor to the monastery, one who Kryoda provided spiritual guidance to, offered the Viera help with his pilgrilage. She offered him an "in" to the Athenaeum Astrologicum in Ishgard, telling him that they would be impressed by his geomancy.On the jounery to ishgard, Kryoda focused on cooking abilities he already had and honed in on the art of baking. This art was one he devloped a fondness of, promosing himself to further improve his ability upon arrival.Having opened its doors to outsiders and desiring someone with a useful (to them) skillset such as geomancy, the Athenaeum Astrologicum hesitantly allowed Kryoda to enroll as a student of the guild upon being reccomended to them. It was here that Kryoda found a place he could call "home" and people he could call family like the monastery before. Like baking, astromancy grew to become a true passion of Kryoda's, and even after becoming a fully fledged astrologian and graduating, he decided to stay in Ishgard.Combining the two new passions of he developed during his time in Eorzea into one, Kryoda opened a bakery within an abanonded obseravory he discovered in Empyreum. While he will perhaps become an official priest of the Kami as he dreamed of in the past, the stars might perhaps have other plans in mind for him.

"Have any good stories?" - Kryoda loves hearing the stories that other people have. Part of why he loves fortune reading so much is because he sees it as the stars telling stories. He would be happy to hear a story from you or share one of his own.
Sweet treats - Kryoda always enjoyed cooking in the monastery, but ever since learning about the existence of baking, he's devoted much of his time towards being a baker and starting a bakery. He might have offered you a pastry or creme brulee because he simply loves giving them out so much. Perhaps you even decided to pay a visit to his bakery.
Devotation to the Kami - As someone training to be a priest devoted to Susano, Kryoda is filled with devotation to the Kami. He's also very interested in other gods as well. Perhaps you saw him praying or putting up offerings at a shrine. Maybe he saw you praying to your own god and wished to learn more.
Stargazing - Kryoda always enjoyed looking at the night sky. Though upon reaching Ishgard, he became inspired by the astrologians that he met and decided to start studying the stars. Perhaps you caught him taking notes while stargazing or you saw him run into a wall because he was busy looking at the stars.
